Artisan Wednesday WOW: Simple Vs. "Junk"
Welcome back to another Artisan Wednesday WOW blog hop! I hope you are enjoying the hope so far. . . don't forget to stop by all 10 of the ADT's blogs and see what inspiration they have to share!
For today's hop I am going to do another simple vs. "junk" card! This one was actually done in reverse. . . I created the "junk" card, then decided to simplify it. I will show you the simple version first:
This was a SUPER QUICK and easy card to make! I started with my Crumb Cake card base and added a strip of the Fresh Prints DSP and a banner stamped with the Thank You from the Simply Celebrate stamp set. Then I used the Petite Petals stamp set to stamp some flowers, punched them out with the coordinating Petite Petals punch, and added them to my card! Did you know. . . not only can you save TIME by buying a coordinating punch and stamp set, but you can also bundle them together and save MONEY?! I'm telling ya. . . BUNDLING is the way to go!!! It really does make things simpler and cheaper!
Okay, that was my "sales pitch" for the day!
Now for the "junk" version of the card:
This is basically the same card with a few additions. . . I added some more of the Fresh Prints DSP to the base, added a Crumb Cake panel with the Hardwood stamp (don't you just LOVE this background stamp?), a few paint splatters, some flower centers created with the Itty Bitty Punch Pack, some Coastal Cabana Ruffle Stretch Trim, and some Basic Jewel Pearls! Oh, yes. . . and some stitching!
Whatever your style, there is always a way to simplify or "junk-up" (by the way, that is a loving term) a card to fit your taste!
Now, let's head In The Cat Cave and see what Cathy has been up to, shall we?!
Supplies used: Petite Petals, Hardwood, and Simply Celebrate stamp sets; Crumb Cake and Whisper White Cardstock; Fresh Prints DSP Stack; Real Red, Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, and Whisper White ink pads; White ink refill; Coastal Cabana Ruffle Stretch Trim; Jewels Basic Pearls; Petite Petals Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack; needle and thread.
