Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome to another 2014 international Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop! Be sure to travel around to see what all of the Artisan have in store to share with you today!

For today's project, I am going to show you a fun way to make a confetti gift bow using some packing tape and the Gift Bow Die, check it out. . .

I started by punching multiple small circles with my 1/4" handheld punch and then scattered them along my desk.
I then took a long strip of packing tape and laid it over the top of my "confetti", flipped it over and used another strip of packing tape on the backside.
Then I used my bone folder to smooth out the bubbles in the tape.
Lay your confetti strip on your Gift Bow Die and die cut out the pieces needed.
Add it to your package along with a fun little tag!
Fun, eh?! Now, let's head on over to Cindy's blog!

Fancy Friday-Pretty Packages

Welcome to another Fancy Friday! Be sure to continue on the hop to see what everyone has to share, I am SURE you are gonna LOVE everything!

Before I share this week's challenge and my project, I have an announcement to make! I forgot to post the winner from last month's Fancy Friday giveaway. . . apologies. . . so, before I forget yet again, the winner of the Trim the Tree DSP stack is. . . . .

Rosemarie Calpin!

Rosemarie, please e-mail me your address, and I will get that mailed to you ASAP!

Now, onto this month's Fancy Friday Challenge. . .  for this moth we chose the theme "Pretty Packages". If there is one thing I love more than shopping for the perfect gift, it is wrapping it up! To me, taking a little extra time to package up that perfect gift and make it look pretty shows just how much you really care about the person you are giving it to.

Although I have branched out the past couple of years into more bolder colors, my favorite is still the soft, subtle, tone-on-tone look, especially when used with neutrals! Here I used the Gift Box Punch Board to create a Very Vanilla box, and then decorated it with neutral embellishments. Now I just need to find the perfect gift to put in it. . .

Curious to see what Cathy has made? Me too! It's ultra FANCY I'm sure of it! Let's head on In the Cat Cave and check it out!

AWW-Party!

Welcome Back to another Artisan Wednesday WOW Blog Hop! Today we are sharing in detail our projects from Stampin' Up!'s Facebook post.

Did someone say PARTY?! I am totally in! Oh. . . wait. . . that was me. . . I do like to party, especially when it is for no particular reason other than to just have FUN!

Really, who wouldn't want to come to a party with this yummy invitation?!

And that's just the "pre-party"! I didn't show anything for the "during party", but you can imagine! And as far as the "after-party", who wouldn't love to go home with this lively little favor?

Does it really matter what's inside?! Something awesome I am sure, but just the packaging alone?! I sure wouldn't want to miss out on it!

Lucky you! Due to a couple of requests, I put together a quick tutorial below on how to make the pocket card for the invitation! I decided to do the video at the last minute (because it was less confusing than the written instructions I was writing up), and so the video is totally rough copy and unedited! Here's the lucky part. . . you get to see just what a true total dork I really am! Hahahah! Don't judge. . .

Phew! Glad that's over! Torture. . . . I know!

Now, let's head In The Cat Cave and see the deets on Cathy's gorgeous project!

A Gift for Mom. . .

I am back with another Leaderhip display sample! (I am getting close to having ALL of my display samples posted!)

At first glance the You're Lovely set was not really "my style", but it reminded me so much of my wonderful mom. I had mom in mind as I was creating this. . .

As it turns out, this is one of my most favorite projects I created for the Leadership display boards! I can't help but think of my mom, and how much I love her. She is such an amazing woman, wife, and mother. . . she is truly an example of everything I hope someday to become. I owe my "craftiness and creativity" to her! She is one of the most talented, creative, and crafty people I know! Love you Mom!

Don't forget to check out the whole team's projects!

Quite the Pair

Welcome back to our weekly Artisan Blog Hop! I realized that I have been forgetting to give a shout out to the Artisans for designing the blog hop buttons. . . this month's buttons were created by Jeanna Bohanon, aren't the adorable?

This week I am sharing a few projects made with the Quite the Pair stamp set. . . funny how this set was the only one in the Occasions Catalog that I wasn't too fond of, yet I found it so easy to create with!

I am absolutely LOVING the Fancy Foil Vellum and thought it would be fun to incorporate it into my projects. I started with a 6X6 piece of the vellum and the used my Envelope Punch Board to whip up a quick little treat box. Then I used the Fringe Scissors to quickly create a little tassel and tag to tie around the box.
I also thought it would be fun to make a transparent shaker tag with the vellum too. . . I simple folded a strip of it in half and sewed along the open edges (after filling it with punched hearts of course)!
With the Whisper White note card and envelopes, it was easy to create a quick and simple card. To complete the fancy but simplistic look of the card, I cut a piece of the vellum with the Envelope Liner Framelit Dies to tuck into the envelope, and viola! Insta-cuteness!
Hope you enjoyed!

I can't wait to see what Cathy has created this week! Let's head In The Cat Cave, shall we? Don't forget to stop by all of ADT's blogs, as you won't want to miss out on their inspirational creativity!

Clean Up and Back Up!

So, a few days ago I was experiencing some computer difficulties and my computer kept crashing! Since I have had two experiences in the past where my computer had crashed and I lost information, including photos, this was a good reminder that I needed to back up my files and clean out my computer! So that is what I have been working on. . . only to come across a few projects that I intended to share on my blog but totally forgot!

This is a project I made back in November using the Envelope Punch Board and the Christmas Tagables stamp set. BOTH are still available! AND, the Christmas Tagables stamp set isn't JUST for Christmas! There are other fun stamps in the set that can be used all year round!

I also created a coordinating card and mini envelope to go with:

Artisan Wednesday WOW!

Welcome back to another Artisan Wednesday WOW! Today we are sharing our Facebook Projects from Friday. If you want details on any of the projects you saw, then follow along on the hop!

I created a super quick and simple gift package that would be great for small cookies (no, I didn't bake some cookies to put in the box for the photo-op, only to eat them before I was able to take the photo of the project) I simply just haven't made any yet. . . but it is on my to do list!

. . .along with eating a few. . . just a few. . . not all of them!

For the tag, I stamped the Wonderful Wreath image on a folded piece of Very Vanilla cardstock (making sure that it was very close to the folded edge) and then cut it out, making sure NOT to cut the top fold! This allows your tag to open up so you can write a to and from!

I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Messages stamp set, punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch, then adhered it with a dimensional.

NOTE: you don't need to punch out a circle to put in the middle of the inside like I did, that was just to cover up an oops!

Now, let's head over In The Cat Cave and see the details on Cathy's amazing project, shall we?!

Artisan Wednesday WOW!

Welcome back to another Artisan Wednesday WOW blog hop! It has been so much fun getting to know this group of ladies, they are ALL so AMAZING! Be sure to stop by ALL 10 blogs for some great inspiration and super fun projects!

For today's post, I was excited to use some of my "sneak peak" goodies that will be coming out in the Occasions 2014 Catalog in January!

I created the card panel by using my sponge dauber to randomly stamp with my Encore Metallic Gold ink pad, then I added some basic pearls and gold sequins. . . YES! GOLD SEQUINS!!!! They will be available to you very soon!

For the packaging on the box, I covered a piece of white cardstock with the Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape (also GOLD, and also available soon!) and then die cut it with my Labels Framelits! And of course, more GOLD sequin trim! The Stamp-a-Tag Kit along with my gold embossing powder made it super easy to create a quick tag.

Yes. . . there is a little gift in there. . . for Cathy. . . she loves gold. . . and she is my hero! Let's go see what she is up to!

Pop & Place

I have been using up my Pop & Place Holiday Gift Tags on various projects and have just a few scraps left, but as I was creating something for today's hop, I decided to make a non-Christmas project to show the versatility of the Christmas Tagables stamp set. Of course the "to" and "from" stamps can be used on tags for any gift, but the "no peeking" and the "I made this" stamps are also great for any occasion (and also my favorites out of the set)!

Be sure to continue on the hop to see more great ideas using this product. Next stop? The Cat Cave!

Artisan Wednesday WOW!

It's time again for another Artisan Wednesday WOW blog hop! If you missed it, we posted our Facebook projects on Friday, you will definitely want to go back and check those out!

I LOVE color, and I especially LOVE using non-traditional color combos like this one: (colors used Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, and Bermuda Bay.)

Today's project was fairly simple. I used the Verry Merry Tags set for the card and punched the ornaments out with the coordinating Mosaic punch. I also punched the middle of the ornament out with the 1/2" circle punch, popped it up just a tad with a glue dot, and added some crystal effects and a rhinestone for some dimension. I adhered the 1/8" silver ribbon to the card first, and then added the ornaments with a dimensional. The sentiment stamp came from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

For the box, I used the Extra-Large Gift Box (these are 4 3/8" X 6" X 6" -perfect for larger gifts), added some Winter Frost DSP, Bermuda Bay Cardstock, Calypso Coral Baker's Twine, Crisp Cantaloupe 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim, and a perfect bow made easily with the Gift Bow Die and some Pistachio Pudding cardstock!

VIOLA! Gifts are so much more fun when they are wrapped up fancy, aren't they?!

Now, let's continue the hop and go In The Cat Cave to see what gorgeous (and possibly sparkly or gold?) project Cathy has to share with us! I LOVE her projects!
