Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop-Watercolor Wings

Hello! Welcome back to another Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Join us each week as Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team members from around the world share our ideas using Stampin' Up! products with you!

The new Stampin' Up! Catalog has gone live and you can now order all of the fabulous new products that the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team has been featuring! This week we are featuring the Watercolor Wings stamp set and the Bold Butterfly framelits which, BONUS, you can bundle them together and save $$$! Who doesn't love to save?!

I'll be honest. . . I loved the Butterfly Basics set and Butterfly Thinlits Dies that came out in the Occasions Catalog back in January. . . but, after making so many butterfly cards, I am soooooo over butterflies! Whaaaa??!! I DID NOT JUST SAY THAT! Sorry, I hope I have not offended any of you! I have seen so many butterfly cards I think I am eating, sleeping, and ........ butterflies!

Ya know what I love that is super trendy right now? Cacti and succulents. Yup! So. . . I modified my stamps in the Watercolor Wings stamp set to meet my desire to create a fun cactus card! Sorry. . . no butterflies here! Hope I haven't disappointed you, but I am quite proud of myself on this clever little card:

I think Jeanna would be quite proud of me too! Be sure and check out the video below to see how I used the butterfly images to create this little cactus!
Let's continue on the hop and go take a look at Cindy's fabulous project!

Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop-Endless Thanks!

Hello! Welcome back to another Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Join us each week as Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team members from around the world share our ideas using Stampin' Up! products with you!

The new Stampin' Up! Catalog is live and you can now order all of the fabulous new products that the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team has been featuring! This week we are featuring the Endless Thanks stamp set and the Greetings Thinlits Dies! BOTH of which are on my top 10 list of favorite products from the new catty! I also love that with either of these products you can choose to go super simple (like this card from last week's Fancy Friday Blog Hop), a little more involoved and fancy (project coming soon), or somewhere in the middle - like this week's project! Check it out:

Don't be intimidated by all of the little flowers to stamp. . . with this set being photopolymer, it makes it ridiculously easy to see just exactly were you are stamping! Just one more thing to love about this amazing set!   Hmmmmm. . . that's odd. . . now I am singing the "Peg plus Cat" theme song in my head. . .

Let's head on over to Cindy's blog to see what amazing things she has in store with this week's product feature, shall we?!

Fancy Friday - A Fond Farewell!

Hello everyone! Ready for another Fancy Friday?! I know I am! This month we are featuring products from the Stampin' Up! retirement list. This is a time of very mixed emotions. . . though I am sad to see a few of my favorite products retiring, I am very excited and eagerly anticipating the arrival of exciting new products!

For now though, I wanted to get some more ink on a few of my favorite retiring sets one last time! But, the decision of which products to use was very difficult, and such a large decision was quite overwhelming for me! So, I did what I always do when feeling undecided and uninspired. . . I looked around at a few of my favorite challenge blogs and found the perfect sketch from Sketch Saturday and color combo from Color Throwdown to get me started! Check it out:

I will miss the Regarding Dahlias stamp set, but I am sure something amazing will fill its spot in the new catalog which will be coming soon! In the mean time, be sure and snatch up this fabulous set as well as the Confetti Celebration DSP, Crushed Curry embossing powder, and Sweet Sadie washi tape before they are no longer available! Many retiring products are now on sale for up to 50% off and only available while supplies last, plus I am doing a BOGO event, so don't miss out! Order your retiring products today!

Phew, my excitement was very long winded!

Let's hop along to the fabulous blog of Cathy Caines and see what her favorite retiring products are, shall we?!

Fancy Friday-Flashback

Hello, and happy FANCY FRIDAY!!! This month we are doing a flashback. . .

The challenge this month is to use one of our favorite sets from the past in conjunction with new and current Stampin' Up! Products to create something all new. Hmmmm. . . this was very challenging for me because I have TONS of retired sets that I absolutely love and picking just one was very difficult! But, I finally found a way to make the decision easy. . .

A GIVEAWAY!!!!

Yup. I have a free giveaway! I apparently loved this set so much that somehow I ended up with two of them! So, I have one in my retired collection, as well as an unused, unmounted set to giveaway! How can you win this gorgeous set? Simply leave a comment and let me know your favorite retired Stampin' Up! stamp set. Then, be sure to check back next Fancy Friday (the last Friday of each month) to see if you are the winner! Yup, it's that easy! And, if you want to participate in this month's Fancy Friday challenge, leave me a link to your blog post featuring your creation and I will put in 5 extra chances for you to win!

I LOVE the new blendabilities, and thought this image presented a perfect opportunity to use them! Because these are alcohol based markers, it made blending the lightest of the Soft Sky and the lightest of the Rich Razzleberry (though I am thinking perhaps I should have used the Wisteria Wonder) super easy to create the look of a hydrangea. Check out this card:

Not a fan of all the junk and layers? Like a more trendy, modern, clean and simple card? Don't write this set of just yet! Use some bright colors paired with black and white space and you change the look of  the set completely! For this super quick note card, I simply stamped the splatter image from the Gorgeous Grunge set in three different colors, and then stamped to flower over them in black. Easy peasy!

Wanna see more cards created with this set? Be sure to check out this post and this post for cards from the past!

That's it for me folks! Now, let's head In The Cat Cave and see what Cathy's fav set is, shall we?!
