August Paper Pumpkin

It's here! The August Paper Pumpkin has started to arrive in mailboxes everywhere, including mine, YIPEE!! Is there one that will show up in your mailbox? Be sure to check my Exciting Changes post to find out how you can win a FREE Paper Pumpkin kit (hurry, you have just one week left to enter)! You can also sign-up to try it out for a couple of months for just $10 (offer ends soon)!

Check out this month's Paper Pumpkin kit project:

Paper Pumpkin is perfect for beginner card makers. This kit comes with easy step-by-step instructions, and everything you need to create 4 of these cards and envelopes. Plus, it is a great way to start building up a small collection of stamps and ink pads you can use on any of your paper-crafting projects. Paper Pumpkin is also great for the more advanced paper-crafters as well! With plenty of supplies in the kit, you are sure to create a fabulous project that showcases your personal style! A neighbor of mine is a big-time cyclist, so this stamp is just perfect to use on a gift bag/box with a little something just for her!

I am big on reuse and recycle, so I made use of the chipboard backing that comes in the kit. I lightly perforated both sides at 1 1/2" (being very careful not to cut all the way through), and then perforated both ends lengthwise at about 3 1/2". Be sure to use a strong adhesive like sticky strip to hold it together, then decorate as desired! How will you use your Paper Pumpkin?

supplies used on bag/box: August Paper Pumpkin kit; Whisper White, Crisp Cantaloupe and Raspberry Ripple cardstock; Coastal Cabana ink refill; Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack; Tea Lace Paper Doilies; Rhinestone Basic Jewels; 1/8" Mini Brads; Crisp Cantaloupe 3/8" ruffle stretch trim, and Raspberry Ripple 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon; other: white acrylic paint.
