Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop-Happy Notes
Hello! Welcome back to another Stampin Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
This week I am sharing a SUPER EASY & SUPER QUICK card created using the Happy Notes stamp set. Short and sweet tonight without the rambling on of a back-story. . . here's my creation:
Yup! Yup, that was super quick, super easy! This is a great card for beginner stampers who may feel up for trying an embossing technique. Just use the Heat & Stick powder, and add Gold Glitter and re-heat!

Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop-Watercolor Wings

This week we are featuring the Watercolor Wings stamp set and the Bold Butterfly framelits which, BONUS, you can bundle them together and save $$$! Who doesn't love to save?!
I'll be honest. . . I loved the Butterfly Basics set and Butterfly Thinlits Dies that came out in the Occasions Catalog back in January. . . but, after making so many butterfly cards, I am soooooo over butterflies! Whaaaa??!! I DID NOT JUST SAY THAT! Sorry, I hope I have not offended any of you! I have seen so many butterfly cards I think I am eating, sleeping, and ........ butterflies!
Ya know what I love that is super trendy right now? Cacti and succulents. Yup! So. . . I modified my stamps in the Watercolor Wings stamp set to meet my desire to create a fun cactus card! Sorry. . . no butterflies here! Hope I haven't disappointed you, but I am quite proud of myself on this clever little card:
I think Jeanna would be quite proud of me too! Be sure and check out the video below to see how I used the butterfly images to create this little cactus!

Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop-Words of Truth

This week we are featuring the Words of Truth stamp set and the Schoolhouse DSP. I love the samples of the lunchbox notes using these items that are in the catalog, I think they would also make wonderful PL pocket page cards!
Recently Gage has been taking private swim lessons. He has proprioceptive and vestibular dysfunction, so it is a HUGE deal for him! We have been trying to get him to take swim lessons since he was 3-years-old, but this is the first year (he is now 7) that he has agreed to it. . . probably because he cousins recently swam with the dolphins and, after watching Dolphin Tale, Gage has decided he would also like to swim with the dolphins! Perfect opportunity for mom to require him to learn how to swim! I know to most parents, having their child learn to swim may not be a big deal. . . but if there are any other SPD moms out there who have kids who hate the water, hate having their heads tipped back, etc., etc., you know just what a huge breakthrough this is!
After just two weeks of private lessons Gage will now put his face in the water while swimming on his belly, AND float on his back (this was the hardest for him to achieve, as having his head back is extremely discomforting to him)! So. . . I had to celebrate with a card of encouragement for my little guy, and the Words of Truth set was the perfect set to create just such a card!
