Fancy Friday-Tags

Welcome to another Fancy Friday! This month we bring you TAGS. . . well, sort of. . . I took a very liberal translation of this month's theme. . . my "tag" is actually a bookmark. . . though, it could double as a tag?!
When I saw this set (and the samples) in the occasions catalog, I fell in love! I was inspired by the sample in the cattty to create this bookmark for Gage's teacher. I LOVE this sentiment, it has soooooo many different meanings for me. But the thought that came to me when I first read it was my precious Gage. He has had many a struggles in his little life, but I have hope that with all of the amazing influences in his life (especially his wonderful and amazing first grade teacher), he will surpass his struggles and the amazing soul that is inside of him will shine from the inside out. There is a myth that a blue butterfly is a sign of hope. . . couldn't be more fitting.

Now, let's see what Cathy has created, shall we?!

AWW-Blendabilities

Welcome back to another Artisan Wednesday WOW blog hop! Hope you are enjoying the creative inspiration the Artisans have to share this week!

Today I am sharing a quick and simple card and tag using the Stampin' Blendabilities Markers that will soon be available to customers. . .

I am still playing around with these. . .  trying to hone my coloring skills. . . but regardless of my sub par blending, these are sooooo FUN to work with! Totally takes me back to my grade school days when I would spend hours coloring and shading in my coloring books!

If you are intimidated by coloring a large image. . . try stamping just a portion of the image to color like I did! Work by coloring just a petal at a time. . .

Isn't the mini clothespin super cute! I added some washi tape to make it more fun!

Now, let's head In The Cat Cave and see what Cathy is up to!

Quite the Pair

Welcome back to our weekly Artisan Blog Hop! I realized that I have been forgetting to give a shout out to the Artisans for designing the blog hop buttons. . . this month's buttons were created by Jeanna Bohanon, aren't the adorable?

This week I am sharing a few projects made with the Quite the Pair stamp set. . . funny how this set was the only one in the Occasions Catalog that I wasn't too fond of, yet I found it so easy to create with!

I am absolutely LOVING the Fancy Foil Vellum and thought it would be fun to incorporate it into my projects. I started with a 6X6 piece of the vellum and the used my Envelope Punch Board to whip up a quick little treat box. Then I used the Fringe Scissors to quickly create a little tassel and tag to tie around the box.
I also thought it would be fun to make a transparent shaker tag with the vellum too. . . I simple folded a strip of it in half and sewed along the open edges (after filling it with punched hearts of course)!
With the Whisper White note card and envelopes, it was easy to create a quick and simple card. To complete the fancy but simplistic look of the card, I cut a piece of the vellum with the Envelope Liner Framelit Dies to tuck into the envelope, and viola! Insta-cuteness!
Hope you enjoyed!

I can't wait to see what Cathy has created this week! Let's head In The Cat Cave, shall we? Don't forget to stop by all of ADT's blogs, as you won't want to miss out on their inspirational creativity!

Artisan Wednesday WOW!

Welcome back to another edition of the Artisan Wednesday WOW blog hop! This week we are sharing in more detail our FaceBook projects, hope you enjoy!

I LOVE the new Scalloped Tag Topper Punch from the Occasions Catalog! I have already punched a TON of tag bases to just have on hand so that when I need to I can just grab a tag base, add some stamps and maybe some embellishments, and have a cute tag in no time! For this tag I used one tag created out of Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock, then added a second tag with the new Gold Fancy Foil Designer Velum over to add a touch of fancy!

I cut a banner from Whisper White cardstock and stamped the heart image from the Peachy Keen set on the banner. Then I inked up the image again and "kissed" it onto the En Francias stamp, then stamped it on another scrap piece of white cardstock, cut it out (not including the background lines), and adhered it with dimensional to the banner sandwiching a strip of Gold Foil sheet and 5/8" Victoria Crochet Trim in between the two images.

Though this tag may look super involved, I assure you that it isn't! It was very quick and easy to create! What ended up taking me the most amount of time was trying to thread the Gold Baker's Twine through the holes of the Very Vintage Desinger Buttons!

I clipped the tag onto a Tag a Bag Gift Bag with a mini clothespin from the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit, but if I had them, I would have used a gold Mini Metallic Clothespins. . . they are on my wishlist!

Now, let's head In the Cat Cave and get the details on Cathy's jaw dropping project!
